Dr. Sameer Al Ansari
Dr. Al Ansari is a UK qualified chartered accountant with over 30 years of senior corporate, operational, private equity investing and strategic advisory experience.
Dr Sameer is the CEO at the RAK International Corporate Centre (RAK ICC), a modern, world class company registry centre, responsible for the registration and incorporation of international business companies.
Prior to joining RAK ICC as CEO in April 2018, Dr. Al Ansari was the Vice Chairman and COO of The Industrial Group.
Until 2011, Dr. Al Ansari was the CEO of SHUAA Capital, a publicly listed full service investment bank. He helped establish Dubai Holding in 2004 and founded Dubai International Capital (“DIC”) and headed DIC as its Executive Chairman and CEO, creating a globally recognised investment company with US$12 billion of assets under management. He previously served as Group CFO for The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai. Prior to that he was CFO at Dubai Aluminum Company (DUBAL) for eight years where he was responsible for finance, hedging, IT and strategic raw materials
Dr. Al Ansari sits on a number of boards including RAK ICC, TVM Healthcare Partners (GCC Healthcare Private Equity Fund), Eureeca Capital and Hawkamah Institute of Corporate Governance. Has has served on numerous regional and international boards such as the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) which he served from 2004-2016. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Institute’s advisory board for MENA. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Loughborough University for outstanding achievement and leadership in finance and is a visiting fellow at Oxford University Said business school.

Alan has over 20 years’ experience working in the Guernsey financial services industry, including as Managing Director of Skipton International. He joined Skipton Building Society’s offshore deposit taker and Channel Island mortgage lender from Barclays Private Clients International Limited where he was Country Manager and Head of Woolwich Guernsey.
Alan is a former Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Banks and former Deputy Chairman of the Guernsey International Business Association.
Alan achieved his Bournemouth University MSc in Corporate Governance through the GTA University Centre. He is also a Chartered Director.
Alan joined the Guernsey Registry in March 2011 as Registrar of Companies and in addition was appointed as Registrar of Intellectual Property in May 2014, ahead of being appointed Registrar of RAK ICC in February 2018. He is responsible for the Registry and acts as a key check and balance for the RAK ICC offshore business, ensuring rigid regulatory, compliance and governance, in addition to maintaining and developing relationships with existing registered agents and promoting the jurisdiction locally and internationally.
Lara Malaeb is Senior Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. Lara has over 12 years’ experience in the UAE with expertise in Consultancy, Management, Corporate Governance and Business Development and has extensive knowledge of the UAE market. Lara is currently the Director of Business Development and Marketing at RAK International Corporate Centre (‘’RAK ICC’’) where she mentors and oversees the business development and marketing team and plays a strategic role in the development of the centre. Combining her legal knowledge and expertise in business management, Lara has initiated and directed various projects and business opportunities for the centre.
Before joining RAK ICC, Lara was heading the Corporate Services team for an international listed corporate service provider based in the DIFC where she managed several clients’ portfolios by providing fiduciary duties and responsible for the business development role in the region. Lara has also worked for an international law firm where she has developed her legal skills in the Corporate sector.
Lara was a board member from 2016 to 2018 for more than 70 DIFC Special Purpose Companies and is a non-executive Director for an international investment company based in the DIFC.
Lara holds Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot Watt University and is a Professional Director certified by Institute of Directors from Hawkamah, the Institute for Corporate Governance.
Lara is a member at Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the International Business Structuring Association (IBSA) and Taxlinked.
Lara speaks English and Arabic and has good understanding of French.
